Equipment Today magazine has added the Ram 1500 Tradesman to its 2011 Contractors’ Top 50 Products awards list. The list is a special section of the September 2011 issue of the magazine and it will also be showcased on ForContructionPros.com

The Ram 1500 Tradesman was praised for its durability, reliability and value. In addition to providing strong performance at a reasonable price, the Ram Tradesman also provides a bevy of unique features that set it apart from the competition, including a standard HEMI V8 engine, six-speed transmission and Class IV trailer hitch with lighted above-bumper four- and seven-pin trailer wiring connectors.

“Recipients of the award were selected based on the volume of reader inquiries and views over the past year for new products published in Equipment Today magazine and posted on the ForConstructionPros.com website,” said Equipment Today Editor Becky Schultz.

Designed to meet the needs of small businessmen, construction jobsites and commercial fleets, the Ram 1500 Tradesman combines an impressive 390 horsepower / 407 pound-feet of torque with 20 mpg fuel efficiency. It can even tow up to 10,450 pounds.

“I can’t imagine a better truck for hard-working professional contractors than the Ram 1500 Tradesman,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO, Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler de Mexico – Chrysler Group LLC. “The Ram Tradesman is specifically designed to meet the critical needs of construction jobsites and is engineered for maximum productivity to out-work the competition, hence the name Tradesman.”
