The Fiat brand has just introduced the 2012 Fiat 500 “Pink Ribbon.” With each sale of this limited edition model, Fiat will donate $1,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
“Pink Ribbon” models will be in showrooms in October, just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In addition to donating $1,000 per purchase, Fiat has committed to a minimum $50,000 contribution to BCRF. [click to continue…]

In the latest “Imported from Detroit” TV spot, Chrysler is touting its new state-of-the-art eight-speed transmission and the fuel-efficiency of the 2012 300 sedan. The new 60-second commercial titled, “If You’re Gonna,” began airing on Friday, Sept. 16.
According to Chrysler Everett, Chrysler is the first domestic automaker to feature the state-of-the-art ZF eight-speed automatic transmission in its vehicles. The new transmission, mated to the award-winning 292 horsepower, 3.6-liter aluminum Pentastar V6 engine, helps the Chrysler 300 achieve a best-in-class 31 miles per gallon on the highway. The life of a movie extra is rarely glamorous—but it sometimes has its rewards. Just ask Alex Dreisbach, one of the 11,500 extras whom were recently in Heinz Field in Pittsburgh as part of filming for The Dark Knight Rises, the next blockbuster installment in the Batman movie series. While he joined the crowd for the full-day shoot, he also got himself entered in a drawing for a brand-new Chrysler 200, being presented courtesy of the Chrysler brand. And needless to say, soon after the cameras finally stopped rolling, Dreisbach was ready to start driving: He had been randomly chosen—by actor Tom Hardy, who plays the villain “Bane”—to win the vehicle during a special on-set presentation.

Chrysler has once again landed on HispanicBusiness magazine’s Diversity Elite 60, a list of the nation’s top organizations that promote and model diversity in the workplace and in the community. This is the third consecutive time the automaker has earned this recognition.
The 60 organizations included on the Diversity Elite 60 are ranked according to their performance on more than 32 variables that measure a company’s commitment to Hispanic hiring, promotion, marketing, and philanthropy and supplier diversity. According to Used Jeep Wranglers In CT, the Chrysler Group’s resurgence continued to gain steam recently, with Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler all scoring impressive honors in AutoPacific’s 2011 Ideal Vehicle Awards. The annual measure of what vehicles best meet customers’ automotive ideals was based on feedback from more than 72,000 drivers across 15 key product attributes including power, acceleration, roominess and fuel efficiency. According to the study, “The cars or trucks that owners would change the least are the most ideal.”
Taking home top ranking among all mainstream/popular brands was the Chrysler division, which also earned acclaim for offering the most-appealing minivan, the Chrysler Town & Country. To help celebrate the launch of the Chrysler Group’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) brand—as well as the introduction of its ferocious 2012 lineup—both are now crossing the country to meet enthusiasts on their home turf, from racetracks to local car clubs to community cruises and more.

The Frankfurt Motor Show is underway this week in Germany, and Chrysler is using the event to showcase its Mopar brand. Already, Chrysler regularly showcases Mopar at many U.S. events, but this will be the first time a Moparized vehicle will be shown in Frankfurt.
According to Jeep Dealers Washington State, at the show, Mopar will display a fully accessorized Jeep Wrangler. Additionally, Mopar will activate an “Accessorization Station” where Mopar representatives will install and remove accessories for show-goers. [click to continue…]

Chrysler’s highly acclaimed “Born of Fire” commercial, featuring internationally known Detroiter, Eminem and his song “Lose Yourself,” has just been awarded an Emmy given by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for programs and individual achievements at the 63rd Emmy Awards presentation.
“Born of Fire” debuted at the 2011 Super Bowl and was designed to generate a conversation about the Chrysler brand in the wake of its emergence from bankruptcy.
