Chrysler’s new post-bankruptcy alliance with Italian automaker Fiat has already yielded plenty of possible changes to the Chrysler lineup. And with vast product changes expected in the coming years, another big change in the near future is a change to the Chrysler logo, which was spotted just this week within the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The new logo is a more modern interpretation of the existing winged logo suggests one Memphis used Dodge dealer. The typography has also been updated and although the current image features low resolution, the new logo is slightly reminiscent to the Aston Martin logo.
Chryler’s had a long history using the Pentastar logo, and rumors persist that Chrysler may bring that logo back, but its relationship with Daimler yielded its current 90s-era logo. According to a Chrysler CT dealer, patent documents also reveal that the new logo appears to have been under development since the early stages of the Chrysler-Fiat merger.
With bankruptcy behind them, Used Trucks Birmingham says it makes sense that Chrysler is hoping to start fresh with new models from Fiat and add an all-new logo to adorn their vehicles. Rumors suggest that this new logo will officially break cover at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show.
