Ahead of their debut at the New York Auto Show, Chrysler unveiled the all-new 2011 Chrysler 200 S sedan and 2011 200 S convertible. These new models will be edgier variants of the 200, offering a slightly bolder design.

In addition to S-specific badging, these models will receive body-colored side mirrors and door handles and a pair of headlamps with black backgrounds. They will also wear 18-inch aluminum wheels and feature embroidered front headrests, heated leather front seats with suede inserts, suede door trim and a 276-watt Boston Acoustic audio system.

The S-trim is more about style than performance. While they look more aggressive, they will retain the ubiquitous 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine under the hood. This unit produces 283-horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and is mated to an automatic transmission.

“The New York International Auto Show is the perfect place to debut the new 2011 Chrysler 200 S sedan and Chrysler 200 S convertible models,” said Olivier Francois, President and CEO, Chrysler Brand – Chrysler Group LLC. “These vehicles are built with an unmistakable attitude and a signature style; and you could say the same of New York itself. The attitude may be ‘Imported from Detroit,’ but it’s definitely at home on Park Avenue.”

The Chrysler 200 S sedan will start at $26,790 while the drop-top will cost $32,490. Look for these models in showrooms this spring.
