Chrysler’s resurgence was certainly evident in the month of July. According to Chrysler Everett, Chrysler Group car sales were up 28% to 27,760 from last year while truck sales still flexed their horsepower with a still respectable 18% growth to 84,266 units.
According to Used Jeep Wranglers In CT, the biggest winners last month were the Jeep brand, the Dodge Durango, and Ram pickup trucks, as they all enjoyed sales growth of more than 20 percent from the same period in 2010.
But consumers weren’t only flocking toward Chrysler’s SUVs and pickups. The Chrysler 200 continued its strong showing, as did the Chrysler 300, and it was the best month for the 2012 Fiat 500. Speaking of the new kid on the block — Fiat 500 — it easily had its best month of the year with 3,038 sold. That’s 68% more than in June.
“In a market that remains tougher than a cheap steak, we were able to produce our highest retail sales in more than three years,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO – Dodge Brand and Head of U.S. Sales. “I think that statistic is the ultimate testament to the progress we have made with our product in the areas of fuel economy, quality and design.”
